Getting Started
What is LuxeBook?
LuxeBook is a scheduling and client management app built specifically for independent hair stylists and solo beauty professionals. It replaces paper appointment books and WhatsApp chaos with a clean online booking page, automated reminders, and a full client history — all in one place.
Do I need any technical experience to set up LuxeBook?
Not at all. Setup takes about 5 minutes: sign in with Google, add your services and working hours, and share your booking link with clients. No coding or IT knowledge required.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account starts with a 30-day free trial. No credit card required. You only need to enter a card when you choose to subscribe after the trial.
What happens after the trial?
After 30 days your account automatically moves to the paid plan you selected. You can switch between monthly ($9/month) and annual ($79/year) at any time from your Settings page.
Bookings & Scheduling
How does online booking work for my clients?
Each stylist gets a unique public booking link (e.g. luxebook.app/book/yourname). Clients visit the link, pick a service, choose a date and available time slot, enter their name and phone number, and confirm. No account needed on their end.
Can I block off time for breaks or personal appointments?
Yes. In Settings › Meal Break you can define up to two break windows per day (e.g. a lunch window from 12 PM–3 PM). LuxeBook automatically reserves time for those breaks when showing slots to clients. For full days off or custom hours, use Special Schedules (Settings › Special Schedules).
What is a Special Schedule?
Special Schedules let you override your regular hours for a specific date range — for example, marking a public holiday as a day off, or setting shorter hours during a vacation week. They always take priority over your regular weekly schedule.
Can a client book two appointments back-to-back?
LuxeBook prevents double-bookings automatically. Once a slot is taken, it disappears from the public booking page in real time.
How does overtime / end-of-day buffer work?
In Settings you can set an overtime buffer (in minutes). This extends the last available slot beyond your official end time — useful if you are comfortable taking a final client slightly after closing.
WhatsApp Reminders
Does LuxeBook send appointment reminders automatically?
Yes. LuxeBook generates a pre-filled WhatsApp message for each upcoming appointment. A single tap on the "Send Reminder" button opens WhatsApp with the message ready — no typing needed.
Can I customise the reminder message?
Yes. In Settings › Reminder Template you can edit the default message. Use template tags like {clientName}, {service}, {date}, and {time} to personalise each reminder automatically.
Does LuxeBook send reminders directly without me tapping?
Not currently. Sending WhatsApp messages on your behalf would require a WhatsApp Business API account, which adds cost and complexity. The tap-to-send approach keeps LuxeBook simple and free from additional third-party requirements on your end.
Clients & Data
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in a secure cloud database (Turso) with daily backups. LuxeBook never sells or shares your client data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I export my data?
Yes. From Settings › Export Data you can download a CSV file of all your appointments and client records at any time. Your data always belongs to you.
What happens to deleted clients or services?
Deleted items go to a Trash folder and are kept for 7 days before permanent removal. You can restore them any time within that window from Settings › Trash.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. From Settings › Danger Zone you can permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action requires typing "DELETE" to confirm and cannot be undone.
Pricing & Billing
How much does LuxeBook cost?
LuxeBook is $9/month or $79/year (saving the equivalent of 2 months). Prices are in USD. No hidden fees or per-booking charges.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. To switch, cancel your current plan from Settings › Subscription (your access continues until the end of the billing period), then subscribe to the new plan. You can do both steps back-to-back — Stripe will not double-charge you.
What payment methods are accepted?
LuxeBook accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. No PayPal or crypto at this time.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings › Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your account is downgraded. We do not offer partial-period refunds.
Technical
What devices does LuxeBook work on?
LuxeBook is a Progressive Web App (PWA). It works on any modern smartphone, tablet, or desktop browser. On iPhone or Android you can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience — no App Store download needed.
Does LuxeBook work offline?
The dashboard requires an internet connection to load and sync data. Some cached views may be available briefly offline, but booking and editing require connectivity.
Which browsers are supported?
LuxeBook works on Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox on both desktop and mobile. For the best experience on iPhone, use Safari.
